Science IT: ScienceCloud base

The ScienceCloud base training will teach you the basics of how the Science IT's cloud computing service works and how you can use it to improve your research.

The course will cover a broad range of topics ranging from an introduction to the ScienceCloud dashboard to slightly more advanced ways of customizing your use of this cloud computing service. Specific topics include: how to log-in to the dashboard, how to create and control virtual machines instances, how to create and manage data volumes, and how to combine these skills so you can orchestrate your computational workflow efficiently. The ScienceCloud training targets both ScienceCloud end-users (i.e., researchers) in addition to IT Coordinators who support researchers.

Make sure to have your laptop computer ready and to fulfill the course requirements described below.

The course will follow the contents of the "ScienceCloud Training Handout".
