R: Reporting using Quarto & R Markdown
Quarto & R Markdown are powerful tools for static and dynamic reports, publications and dashboards that can be created fully reproducible using a highly intuitive notebook interface.
Furthermore, Quarto & R Markdowndocuments can be quickly converted into other document types like HTML web pages, PDF files or Word documents. It is widely used for documenting R projects, seminar papers and publications.

- Formatting reports using CSS files
- Working with child documents in large reports
- Creating parameterized reports
Basic knowledge of R, preferably attendance of the course "R: Basic Introduction".
Students and employees of the University of Zurich.
In this course, you will learn to create Markdown documents consisting of code, text and the YAML header. We will use CSS files to format our reports and look at further customizations like section headings, citations, cross-references, animations, interactive plots, tables, comments and many more.
Electronic material will be distributed during the course.
Furthermore, the R Markdown Cookbook (Xie, Dervieux and Riederer 2020, CRC Press)
would help learners to deepen their understanding of R Markdown. It is however no prerequisite for this course.
