If you feel comfortable with the basics of Python (variables, data types, data structures, functions and loops), this course will help you to write cleaner, efficient and reproducible code.

To summarize the above-linked tutorial:
  1. Install Python 3.13 or 3.12 from www.python.org. If you are on Windows: Don't install it from the Windows Store
  2. Install Visual Studio Code (VSC) https://code.visualstudio.com/
  3. Install the Python extension - VSC does this if you create a .py file and open it in the editor. Otherwise, check the link below
  4. (optional) Verify that everything works by doing the Hello World part of the tutorial
  5. (optional) Install pylance (also a Visual Studio Code plugin)

If you already have a running Python installation or another IDE, feel free to use whatever you feel most comfortable with. However, I will not be able to support IDE-related questions.
